BEST CHARACTERISTICS IN THEIR CATEGORY OF SEALING MATERIALS
Laska Technika Przemysłowa Sp. z o.o. is the general representative of the Federal Mogul AE Goetze, the worldwide leading manufacturer of mechanical sliding seals.
Mechanical sliding seals are of common and worldwide use as sealing materials for machines and industrial equipment intended for operation in heavy exposure conditions to sand, dust, mud, excavated minerals and soil. They can do their work perfectly in applications where standard seals with rubber lip must fail.
Scope of applications
The mechanical sliding seals are commonly used for machines and installations in the mining industry, building construction, and agriculture, including machines such as tractors, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, mixers, drilling rigs, combined cutter loaders, conveyors, tunnel mining machines, and so on.
Construction
The mechanical sliding seals are composed of two identical metal sliding rings which are encased in mounting seats by elastomer rings.
Materials (GOETZE Sliding Seals)
Sliding seals: chilled cast iron Duronit V, hardness 60 HRC.
Elastomer rings: NBR, HNBR, FPM, VMQ, hardness 50 - 70 acc. to Shore A
Through the use of Duronit V, a special chilled cast iron material, GOETZE Sliding Seals can be distinguished from other sliding seals for their very high resistance to wear and corrosion. Duronit V allows GOETZE Sliding Seals to be used in applications characterized by very high rotational speeds, up to 10 m/s.
Our offer include NILSEAL Sliding Seals, as well. In this case sliding rings are made of 100Cr6 chromium steel, with surface areas treated by quench hardening in order to improve their resistance to wear and corrosion. However, these resistances are still lower than those of sliding rings used in GOETZE Seals.
